WOWZERS, Bones... ;D...!
Excellent photo's... ;)...!

The sight of tall sky scrapers always terrify me when I recall the the details of the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906.... :o...!

...much safer in a tent..?

LOL...!

Comprehensive study of the tower! Looks really good!

Great shot!!! :)

And to think on a foggy morning in July 1945 a B-25 crashed into the 79th floor on the north side.

Here is a little more info on that.

Yes I did...and I'm proud of it, despite the poor quality.  :)

While we were waiting to go on board the helicopter (a Eurocopter Colibri  8)), one of the pilots was calling with Newark ATC. When he hang up the phone and went with us to the heli, he told us he got clearance to fly over Manhattan again. Before that, they couldn't do that due to high security level. It was september you know. We were the first to fly over the city again that month... Yes we went crazy indeed.

We made three three-sixties around the ESB and two around the Chrysler Building. Flying along the ESB, we could clearly see all the flashed going off on top of the tower. For those people, the heli must have come very close.  8) Our pilot told us you normally have to rent the chopper for a whole day before they do something like that.

After that we headed to Ground Zero which we overflew! Then two fly by's along the statue of liberty and back to the heliport. I'll never forget the pilot's words after we landed: "you guys got the best flight of the month".

It was the first time I flew with the helicopter and to be honest, I think I will never get an expierence like this again...unless they let me fly in a Apache... ;)
