EXCELLENT photographs Omag...!!!

Re: Aircraft noise;
Aircraft noise is a serious problem in England...
Most airports and airfields here publish instructions to avoid built-up areas during take-offs, approaches, and landings... ;)..!
Get enough annoyed residents and the airfield is closed down... :o...!

My local airfield is extremely strict regarding inflicting aircraft noise on local villages and  towns.

It's always worth bearing in mind that very few people are "aircraft enthusiasts" and although few folks would complain, or even notice, a little Cessna 150 floating gently overhead, a low flying Military jet, or helicopter, terrifying residents,  scattering a herd of cows, or a flock of sheep, will cause the residents and the local farmer to write a letter of complaint to the Minister of Aviation...
..and that is the way we loose our airfields...:o...!

It is all too easy to annoy people nowadays with excessive noise, which is why my airfield posts the notice in the FBO..."Don't annoy the locals with the noise of your aircraft...or we WILL be closed down!"

(Am I right in thinking that Concorde was refused entry to JFK airport because of noise)...?

I quite like aeroplanes, but none of my neighbours are particularly interested in them...;)...!

As some of us are only sim flyers I think we take aircraft noise much too lightly for the good of the aircraft industry...!

Paul..flying a path which avoids the nearby village, backing off the throttle,  landing, and inviting the locals for a drink in their local Pub to discuss the fun of flying...;)... ;D...!
(...and getting them on my side)... ;)...!
LOL...!

Mhmm :) I suppose at that time, you had that crackling feeling in your ears!

Still, nothing has yet to beat the EE Lightning on a fast taxi run at Bruntingthorpe... gives your ears a good seeing to!

The AWACS probably belongs to Geilenkirchen... and because of the enviromentalists in Schinveld they now beat up Ostend for their dayly TnG sessions...

Awesome shots! We had one come over the city this time last year and it was awesome! Glad to see you captured it on film!

Secondly, to the dudes who love the military, support the Iraq war etc, it is good to have a voice of non support in the country- it provides BALANCE and it's ironic to say we''re protecting freedom and democracy , but if you don't like it, get out. You gotta put yourself in someone else's situation before you can make judgement.

Awesome shots tho Kris!
