There is now a "genuine" Halifax, NA337, which unveiled at RCAF Trenton 2 months ago today... :)

That's the one mentioned on the RAF website. Seems it's a tad out of date.

Do you know of the whereabouts of any Stirlings? I don't recall ever seeing one. Seems a shame that we have no examples of some of these machines at all.

I my memory of six year old Flypasts is correct then I don't think there are any complete Stirlings. Though I believe there was a plan to assemble half of one or something at somepoint. :P

There was. I believe it was in the press on and off after being annouced in 2001ish. I think most of the accumulated bits and pieces were around RAF Wyton IIRC.

That's if my brain index of 10 years of FlyPast and Aeroplane (monthly) is working correctly! ;D

I answered my own question. http://uk.geocities.com/vanessa.cross@btopenworld.com/newsletter7.htm

Now, what about a Hampden & Whitley.

There's a Hampden in Canada. Last I knew it needed it bit of work but it was pretty much all there. Probably at the same museum as the Halifax.

As for a Whitley I'd be suprised if there were any.

Aye, the one in Canada is complete AFAIK, and is a Canadian one (amazingly ;) ) with P&W's I think (nope - see below!). edit: Not in the same museum as the Halifax - I'll endeavour to find out where...

Page 4, February 2006 edition of Aeroplane! ;D They're hoping to raise one from the bottom of the Baltic very soon!

Sorry there is no other World War Two Bomber or Hampden at the RCAF Museum where the Halifax is at Trenton, Ontario.
That I know for a fact.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Here it is, at the Canadian Museum of Flight, Langley, B.C.

I was wrong about it having P&Ws too. A pair of Bristol's finest Pegasuses (Pegasae? ;) )  on the wing... ;D

Thankfully most of the Canadian Lancs have been coming in from the cold, such as the one that was on the Toronto waterfront till a few years back. IFAIK there are still one or two exposed to the elements...

Yeah, I dont remember which it was, and my dad took the picture in the late 70's so I have no doubt it's been at least fixed up since. I think Doug might have posted some  info on it at the time.
