That shot was taken at Elvington back in August 2003. Not normally of twin seat warbird conversions but this is an exception.

I use a Canon EOS10D and the shots were taken either with a Canon 75-300 f4-f5.6 USM MKII or 80-200 f2.8 L.

Your photos are exactly what I would like to take. I realise I don't have the equipment or knowledge to use it but these photos give me the inspiration to do better with what I have.

I only began photographing in 2002 as a total novice and didn't even begin using digital until mid 2003. It's largely about experience, the more you get with your camera the better you shall get. Trust me, if I can learn enough to take decent pics in a few years than you should have no problems If you do need a little advice feel free to ask me and I'll try and use my (limited ) photographic knowledge to help.

Steve you'll find Roger and myself are united in our love of the Spitfire, but he is from the Quill camp whilst I'm of the Henshaw camp. Hence he likes Griffons and I like Merlins.
However anyone saying anything bad about the Spit will get the full wrath of both of us... it is a Supermarine kinda thing
