What does Macro mode do? My camera has one but I never used it...

So you can get really close to an object.

I'm not going to tell how much I've just spent on a new macro lense ::).

Nice camera by the way Omag, I've been looking at one of  those for somthing to carry about  day to day. I'm tempted but I have a "Canon" thing going on  :(

Macro photography can bankrupt an SLR photographer quicker than you could imagine. Ironically in most cases the P&S cameras are alot better.

As an adition I'll stand by my oft stated opinion that "gear ain't everything"

I've seen great hobby shots, shots I would love to have taken, and I've seen "pro's" with great gear taking the worst pics ever.

Nice stuff there Craig, I'm holding out on the aviation shots until I can get a EF 400mm f/2.8L IS and that may be a little way off  :(
