Google your house?

Postby beaky » Tue Oct 25, 2005 12:31 am

Pretty good picture of my place in Google Earth, if a little outdated.

Can't see my car, though... I think I was out that day.

Anybody else?

Now I'm jealous Rottydaddy, I didn't know you had a freeway and a tramtrack out the front as well. What was the factory originally?

It's the one in the center of the image... ::)
Go right ahead; the roof and all the floors are wood, and a bomb would probably crash right through to the basement.  ;D
Or why not try to "pickle" it into the old smokestack?

Don't envy me... it's roomy, but the location is noisy. The track nearest  the building is a layup track for the PATH trains (Penn Station, the end of the line, is right up the street)... at all hours you can hear the maintenance crews yakking on the trains' PA system, and they test those damn door-closing chimes ("BING BONG!"). there's also the occasional blast from a big train about to pass through the station without stopping... amazing how loud some of them are.
And the traffic... it's not too bad until a semi driver frantically downshifts to stop at the light right there...or the nonstop horn-honking at rush hour, as people try to deal with the merge right in front of the building...
But I guess I'm used to it now.
The building is about 100 years old; originally built for some jewelry company. Really don't know much about that.

As lovely as I am, I've already marked the spot to drop the h-bomb on.

You can also see our old Windstar, but I didn't want to wast any space on that heap.
