Hey guys,

Visiting New York without going to the Intrepid? No way!!! What Ozzy has with the Spitfire, I have with the Blackbird family (and P-51D) but I had never ever seen one before. Therefore this visit was really special to me. I saw my very first Blackbird, an A-12!  8) Also a Tomcat I had never seen before. I was stunned about its size.  :o

Visiting New York without going to the Intrepid? No way!!!

Sad story. I got as far as the gate only to be told it was closed. I picked the only day of the week they don't open so I wasn't allowed on board & I was leaving NY the next day. Never mind, they were kind enough to let me wander round the exhibits on the dockside. I had a nice tour of USS Yorktown when I visited Charleston. No photos to speak of though.
