...and was treated to a little display by one of my favourite aeroplanes - topped off when it flew right over the top of the house! ;D ;D ;D

LOL Charlie - thats 3 of us that have been suprised by the Lanc. in the last few weeks. Unfortunately I had no batteries for my camera when it circled my house with the Spit & Hurricane & Jimbo was in Sheffield city center when he got suprised.

Guys, any explanation to a smallish  twin engine, twin fin bomber type, (possible glased nose) - I thought B-25 - over lancashire over the last couple of days?

Oh you guys have nothing on me.....heck, I even saw a Cessna 150 fly over my house last week.....Honest !..... ::)

Except my unknown bomber, I have seen, in the last week or so, one Tornado, one Harrier, and a Sea King or two, in the lakes last week, 2 Jags, one Tornado, one Chinook, all at some distance though.  ;)

It went northwards a couple days back, then went south again tonight. I did an airliners.net search and hit upon one from Duxford?

Grumpy was The Fighter Collection's B-25 based at Duxford, but was sold to Microsoft's Paul Allen sometime last year, but I don't know if it had already made the trans-atlantic trip.

Having looked on another forum there was another Lancashire resident who was querying the identity of the B-25 he saw last week... :)
