Giant over my city...

Well today i went to Sheffield city centre with my mates, and we heard this loud aircraft swirling above low.

It was an incredible moment and made me think of my grandfather who flew the similar large aircraft in WW2.
As this thing went over there was a silence, and i kind of respect, a lovely sight, right over the centre...

Cool shot Jimbo - we had the Battle of Britain memorial Flight (Lanc, Huricane & Spit) down here on wednesday for the Dartmouth Regatta & on the way back they circled my house (almost perfectly) about 4 or 5 times before heading off again - absolutely awsome!!

(Didn't stop my stupid neighbour from saying "Well I don't know what they are but that big one must be fairly important" - clueless!!)

Nice on Jimbo! Well caught. I saw a Lanc today, but it only had a 6 ft wingspan and 4 electric motors!
