The week-end visit to my local Airfield, Shobdon, (EGBS), for our Annual Air Race.
Popped up on my trusty Tiger Moth Motor-bike...(18 miles).
Fantastic weather, large crowd of enthusiasts, chance to meet the race pilots and admire their gorgous machines!
I had a FAB 2 days...got seriously cooked in the brilliant sunshine!
Here are just a few pics of the zillions I took at the time, (as you do!).
I'll post a few more of the best, and un-usual, in the next thread...(usual limits on size)...!
This is always a handicap race, and you will notice by the race results that the winning combination is the skill of the pilot with his particular machine..!
Even tho' it is a staggered start, there are only seconds between them at the end...!!
It's not always the biggest and fastest machine that wins!
