PT462

Postby 61_OTU » Tue Jul 12, 2005 5:35 pm

PT462 is Antony Hodgson's TR IX. I went for a trial fight at a local flying school and drove up to see this sitting on the airfield
:o

I was looking forward to my flight, but I found myself hoping that the instructor wouldn't come out of the loo too quickly, as I wanted to see this take off

Image

I was really pleased with this shot, the sun was going in and out of the clouds but just peeped out for this one to throw light on the fuselage, with the black clouds menacing behind. I had the experience of taking off on my flight and then flying around this black cloud waiting for it to clear the airfield to land

They lose something in the cropping and resizing, but I still love looking at these shots.  :)

WOW, now those are some quality shots! :)
I bet it was something special to see that. My airport is boring to say the least, last time I was there I was a Lake Renegade, and THAT was exiting...lol ::) :P

I've got this on video as well, I'll see if I can get a clip on MPEG if anyone's interested.

It was the first time I've seen one of these start up and take off, it was some sight!

Not seen this plane for a few years so it is nice to see it up and about. The UK now has four airworth TR.9s.
Super shots pal, very nice.

Thanks for the comments folks, seeing PT462 certainly made it a special day for me.

Ok, looks like I need to invest in a firewire cable for my camcorder then......

Very nice shots 61. Haven't seen any of Antony's aircraft around on my travels of late, but PT462 really is the jewel of the collection...

The second link works, I'm downloading it now, the first one causes an error message.
