People were allowed all over the choppers this year, sit in them etc, which made it a much more family day as kids could do stuff rather than just watch daddy drooling. A v.good idea!
Hopefully I've got some spectacular airborne shots of the Mils in action 8)

They are both Mi-8MT/MTV's... Officially Mi-17 is a civil only designation for a right hand tail rotor Mi-8, but often they put all MT/MTV Mi-8 under Mi-17

The Hungarian AF was adamant it was a 17 and advertised it as such, I thought it was odd......

Probably has something to do with manufacturing year or serial numbers, but both the Mi-17 and the Mi-8 in the pictures have a right hand tail rotor (makes for 1x Mi-17 and 1x Mi-8MT(V))

Some super shots there Mark. My goodness, that Hind is an ugly beast. Reminds me of some huge stinging insect. Imagine that suddenly appearing in front of you. Enough to frighten anyone to death without firing a shot. :o

There is a reason that they were called 'Satan's Chariot' in Afghanistan...
