McChord AFB Air Expo 2005 part TWO

Part two!

The Schedule actually had the F/A-18F Super Hornet listed to perform, but they actually had the F/A-18C Hornet.  I was disapointed for all of about 2 seconds.  As I say, a Hornet is a Hornet and I love 'em all!  This jet may not be as loud as the Eagle, but the Eagle certainly doesn't move like a Hornet!  Absolutly amazing demo by the Hornet West guys!

Here is the Hornet for it's opening pass, performing a sharp 90 degree turn, followed by a quick 90 degree pitch up, all within about 6 seconds!  Man can that thing point it's nose quickly!

Legacy flight with Hornet and Bearcat.

Here is the Red Bull MiG-17 on a low pass!  This jet was SWEET to watch!  I loved it's afterburner, looked like a torch!  Pretty sweet!

Here you can see the Air Force Reserve Jetcar just as it noses ahead of the MiG!! Perfect picture by my sister!

Part three coming up next!!

Smashing shots Boss. :D

That Hornet is certainly impressive. Sure I've seen one display a Farnborough.

Yeah, I do love my Hornet.  I got great video of it on Saturday.  It's amazing to see a machine like that move the way she does.  My favorite part of the show was when the Hornet was doing it's high alpha pass and the narrator said, "The only aircraft in the world that can fly slower than the Hornet, is the Super Hornet."  Boo-ya!

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
