Gone spotting - EBBR

Postby Alphajet_Enthusiast » Thu Jul 14, 2005 2:49 am

Yesterday at Brussels National. We moved to different spotting locations around Steenokkerzeel, very fun. Met some nice Dutch spotters aswell. Great fun!

American Airlines and Air France!

My favorite civil aircraft, the A330, waiting at the treshold. This is one of the SN Brussels aircraft, registration OO-SFN. So not the one in my sig!

At a new location, DHL landing!

We saw plenty of SN Brussels aircraft, of course. Here is one shot!

In two hours time, two Alitalias... Not too shabby, hey?

I dont know which airline this was, but kickass paint scheme. I suspect it of being a Luxair embraer!

Great shots, great variety.

PS. I think the last one is a CRJ.

Oh, mistake! I meant CRJ! Luxair was the customer for the 1000th aircraft, werent they?

Might be an Air Dolomiti aircraft.

Nice photos. Never went spotting at EBBR. Schiphol is a little further, but the spotting locations are 10 times better as well as the amount of traffic.

A few months ago I was standing in the brand new control tower...now that was a good view.  8)

I've spotted in Milwaukee ounce, and Appleton quite a bit, as well as the trip up to Green Bay ounce in a while. All very fun! 8)

Shots #7, 8 & 9 are excellent. Well done. ;)

PS. Nothing to do with me but this should really be posted as 2 separate topics.

If any of you havent gone spotting yet, try it. Its not only fun, other spotters tend to be nice, friendly folks. Very nice hobby!

Great pics...Looks like great locations ;)

Wouldn't say that it is considered a terrorist act...Might get a few questions in some places, especialy if theres not many spotters who come around that particular airport ;)  Theres a few cammeras though that you might not want to be pointing at an aircraft...Some do tend to look like something different :P

Havent had the chance to get over to Fort Wayne yet.  I know there is a couple of places near the end of a runway but I dont know where they are (727's are very common at FWA)....To bad Indianapolis is so far...At one point there was accualy small 5-6 car parking spots off to the side of the highway and a couple of sectioned off pieces of fencing just for spotters ;)  But nearly 90+ miles is a tad to far to go just for spotting :P
