I take it you missed the little incident Doug? One of the Classic wings Rapide's had an engine fire after the show, thankfully on the ground.
Is that one of the pleasure flight aircraft? Rapides seem a tad prone to engine fires & if it does happen the whole thing can soon brew up. We lost a beautful example some years ago now, in King's Flight markings. Immaculate it was. Engine caught fire in the air, fuel hose leak. Fortunately he got it down without anyone being hurt but it was a write-off.No one hurt, but the lower right (starbord - not allowed to use the term starbord now apparently to keep in sync with the US) was gutted...
You mean the lower starboard wing? Shame. At least from what you're saying they didn't lose the whole thing .

There was a problem with the P-40 on sunday as well.
And for some reason the Bearcat was grounded for the day and the airshow organiser had to do his display in the Hawk 75. Anyone know why?

The P-40 seems to have problems quite often at Legends and so did Ray Hanna's P-40 a few years back if I remember. Engine problems with the Bearcat. They got it running later on Sunday but it did not fly. Shame about the Rapide, hope they can sort it out.
