RN Merlin

Postby Woodlouse2002 » Thu Jun 23, 2005 10:44 am

Well, you can't live 10 miles from RNAS Culdrose and ever expect the sky to be completely clear of helicopters. So I made the most of the midday sun and say out on the lawn in a deckchair, cat on lap and camera hanging off the back.

Sure enough ten minutes later I heard a familiar racket, looked around and saw...

"Excellent" I thought. "It's coming right this way."

Very nice... goes to show that one can often just crop a big image down to 8x6 and save as JPEG with great results!
What's that chin pod thing? Radar?

I will be at Culdrose next month flying the Grob Tutor, god knows why it wont be going from St Mawgan but the recent AEF's (for those unfamiliar that is Air Experience Flights) have been at Culdrose.  Ahh well at least i get to see some neat Hawks, Merlins and the blessed SEA KING!!!
