Kemble Air Day 3

Postby Hagar » Tue Jun 21, 2005 3:20 pm

For my pal Craig. The rest of the RAF contingent.

Solo Hawk. Very nice display but a long way from the crowd line. That's my excuse anyway. ::)

The Tucano. Excellent display. New pilot this year.

Here's a surprise. The Tristar tanker. There was a VC-10 on static display.

The Harrier can fly inverted too. Can't hover upside down though. ;)

The Reds arrive. Always a crowd pleaser.

The Jaguar. Small, fast & noisy. Too fast for me. Think this is its final display season. Shame I can't show you the smart new tail markings properly.

Nice to see the Herc back on the display circuit. This is the C-130J demonstrating the steep 'Khe Sahn' tactical approach & landing.

I left before the Reds displayed to make sure I got out of the airfield before the rush. I'm no good at formation shots anyway. They were taking off alongside the road as I drove past. Shame as conditions were perfect & I suspect they would have done the full show. Missed the Chinook display too but you've seen my pics of that before.

1st herc shot is impressive - hardly any photos are seen from that angle, highlighting the wide fuselage that goes all the way back!
