Well since I'm moving to San Diego this weekend, I made one last trip yesterday with a couple buddies from work at SJC before I leave. We would fly out to LAX for lunch at this In n Out Burger restaurant once every couple months. Now that I'm going to be in SD, we aren't sure when we will be able to do this again with each other...since even though I'll live geographically closer to LAX, it will be somewhat harder for me to get there.
These next two were taken by my friend...
If you ever go to LA, or are passing through via LAX, I recommend heading over to this "world famous" In n Out. ;D
Reminds me of the parking lot and picnic area at Pepi's in Mississauga (Pearson International Airport). The picnic tables are so close to the approach path you could spit on the lights.
Nice to grab a cold beer and sit back to watch planes.
I know another one at YYZ.....it's on Airport Rd, just south of the threshold of 23R - opposite side of the road.......the place is called Zets........has great burgers, steak on a bun, fish and chips, and Souvlaki.....
.......in line with 23R is a carwash/gas station, and I mean directly under the approach......

Funny coincidence... The Krispy Kreme where I get my donuts from is right under the approach to 22R. I'll go out and take some pics when I get a chance. :)
L.A. is a neat place. I flew in there last year and while I can't say it was the nicest airport, it was quite a different experience for me. It was the first time in my life that I saw palm trees!
