I don't believe the A-380 will smoke that much when it brakes on taxing...
With a undercarriage by Dowty i doubt it'll smoke at all...

If you are talking about my post (not sure if you were) but I was responding to CraigL's post...it had nothing really to do with what you all thought...I think we all know that this aircraft will not smoke quite that much when brakeing...or even when landing, UNLESS it was a very very hard landing with all tires poping out..



i know thats tyre smoke, got a photo of a 777 with te same thing myself at birmingham. the original smoke from the original picture was from the first start-up of the engines. It wasn't that bad.

That smoke to me looks like dust kicked up by the thrust of the engines.
F-WWOW (cn 001) Engines destorage (here #3) The smoke is created by the combustion of the "storage oil" in the engine fuel system.
