Nooooooooooooooo!!

Please, please, please,

Not 'Scott' for a scottie dog!!! Everyone you meet for the next 14-16 years will think you've got no imagination. (No offence).

I say you start a new thread where we can all put in suggestions for your new dogs name & then have a closing time of say 8pm tommorrow. Please tell your family to hold off naming the dog until all the votes have been counted (or you all see a suggestion that you all prefer).

If after that you don't find anything that you like (or is suitable) then by all means call him Scott.

Pleeeeaaaasse.

TSC.

(& please - sensible suggestions people!! a young doggie's street cred hangs in the balance here).

(pps: 'Alfonso' - Now that IS cool!! That I like).

LMAO. sorry but it is decided. It has nothing to do with lack of imagination, because it isnt a scottie dog. Its a westie ;) not that most people can tell the differance, myself included. Trust me, my mum is into naming our pets after ancient greek figures.  :-X I am not risking it as she did hand over the cash for him.

Ah well - seeing as it's a Westie then i'll let you off  :D

I still think Alfonso is cool though.

Shame really - if it had of gone to a vote then I was gonna put 'Scott' just to be arsie.

Best of luck with 'Mr Alfonso Scott' - he looks cool.

Cheers,

TSC.

Maybe he doesn't like small yapper type dogs.

If you want to be really unoriginal then you've got to call him Cesar. ;D

I know 2 Westies, both named Hamish. ;)

PS. Here's one. Lives just across the road. I took this some time last year. At least, I think it's a Westie. Don't know the difference myself. They have 2 now but I forget the other one's name.

Cute... not a bad breed if you like 'em small- they are playful and affectionate, if a little hyper. Pretty smart, too.  I agree that firm, quiet, consistent discipline is the best way to keep a little guy like that more or less under control- and for God's sake, don't ever corner him (got a nasty surprise from a tiny terrier/poodle mix once when I did that)!! ;D

They're like real live teddy bears. ;)

You're right about that. My sister-in-law was scarred for life when she startled hers, many years ago now when she was a little girl. It nipped her in the top lip then ran away & hid under the table. She said it was her own fault & never blamed the dog for it. She's crazy about animals.

I remembered the other Westie's name. It's Hector. :D

lol thanks guys. Terriers think they are the size of alsations, our old one was exactly the same. I think the difference is in the size and the ears. westies look a little smaller than scotties.
