Lancing College basking in the sunshine. Sussex Pad Hotel on the left. This is the view across the main A27.

Just caught this one.

One for Fozzer.

A familiar sight these days.

Not sure what this is. Anyone?

Been trying to catch this chap for a while.

Time for lunch so off to the terminal building on the other side of the field.

Can't think of a nicer place to eat. Perfick.

Ah, Dave Grint arriving with a young passenger. Blast it. Should have hung on a few minutes to catch him on finals.

Must see if I can get one of those jackets. It would just suit me.

Hope you like the pics. Sorry you couldn't join me for Sunday lunch. If the weather's like this next weekend I plan to try pastures new.

He gave me the ride plus a fiver for looking after it for him. A fiver was a week's wages then.

It was very rare to see any single-engined light aircraft with a nosewheel in those days, never mind retractable gear to boot. The only similar example I can think of was the beautiful little Falco F8L that sometimes visited. Very sleek & fast - looked more like a mini fighter. I think they're still in production today although the design might have been updated with modern materials.
