Same here. ;)

I like #1. Is that a Camel? I could be mistaken but don't remember seeing that during our visit.

nice photos! the second one (I guess it's a Messerschmit...damn how do you write that?), is that a real one or a mock up? it looks a bit too clean and too plastic to me.  ;)
Raw power...the J-58.

Y'know, I think the problem people seem to have  with that Me109 is that the paint is not very "drab", really; kind of a "satin" finish. Or maybe it's that color; hard to tell.  Not saying it's not period-correct, but it does seem "too shiny" compared to most non-metallic-finish warbirds.. It's also probably heavily restored; all the various skin panels are straight and smooth, no "oil-canning"  or various-aged panels like on the belly of that old bomber (sorry, guys, I can't ID it- Lanc?). That's what gives it the "plastic" look, I guess. Up close, it probably looks real enough- I'd like to go see it sometime. Too bad I'll most likely never see it fly... :'(

I think the colours are pretty accurate. Most warbirds don't have their original drab camo as they show up better with glossy paint.   No need for camo at an air display. ;) Check out the shots from my link taken when it was airworthy. It looks much the same to me & they did a great job of restoring it, even for static display. They probably used the same paint.

that old bomber (sorry, guys, I can't ID it- Lanc?).

I think it's a Wellington. Not sure of the Mark without checking.

This is why "Black Six" looks so lovingly restored. This is Duxford, 1997, and the 109 was giving its last display before grounding...
