Those zips on the chin turret have to be one of the cleverest things i've ever seen. So simple, yet so perfect.

Nice shots Woodsup. ;)

Maybe...... ::)

Definitely the UK if not Europe. Used to be one in France* but I don't know what happened to it. There's several airworthy examples in the US. Here's a list of survivors. http://www.aerovintage.com/b17loc.htm Apparently 13 still airworthy throughout the world. It might not be up-to-date as the EAA's Aluminum Overcast was badly damaged in a taxying accident last year.

*PS. Pink Lady based at Orly. Also featured in "Memphis Belle". Not sure she's still flying. http://ajbs.com/Anglais/MuseeGB/B-17GBHtml/b-17-MasterGB.htm

Last time I heard she was still airworthy. I think "Aluminum Overcast" may have flown again now, which was a pretty fast repair job...

Most of the time shes sitting out on the tarmac. When i saw her they were filming the aircrew series for bbc so got to see some flying as well (unfortunatly my video went missing)

Pink Lady is still alive and well after a year down due to wing spar work. She was back at Flying Legends last year.
Great photos, one of my favourite UK based warbirds.
