Or at least at Cosford. For Doug, i hope these are what you wanted, or at least German ::) Very tired so it could be concorde for all i know

Ah, thanks Craig. Nice shots considering the way they pack them in there & why is the lighting always so bad in these museums? Can hardly see what you're looking at, let alone take decent photos. We had the same problems at Hendon. Still, I suppose this is better than rotting away out in the open.

I will do some work on them tomorrow, lighten them up a little. Hopefully make them clearer. With the new buildings i hope they take out a few from the hangars instead of cramming in more. That way like you say photos wont be so tough. As for the lighting, guess thats the price you pay with high ceilings. ::)

I think the lighting's OK, except they need more direct lighting on each aircraft. Not easy with objects that large. And... WHAT is that nasty little red  sucker next to the V2? Looks like it was intended to be dropped from an airplane...

Not sure,but that could be one of the first operational (in '43!) german A-G missiles.

Love the shots of the Me-410! And do you think it's possible to..err...lend the V-1 and V-2 from the museum? ;D

Those look great, Ill have to dig out my old photos from the USAF museum in ohio. What is that thing in the first picture? does it have pulse jet engines on the rotor tips?

No it's not powered at all. It's actually a rotary-winged kite or towed autogyro. The Focke-Angelis Fa 330. Very interesting idea.
It was towed behind a German U-boat (submarine) during surface cruise to provide a long-range observation platform for spotting targets or threats. It could be broken down and stowed in a few minutes, and then pulled out of storage and reassembled for use just as quickly.


I believe they have one in the USAF Museum. ;)
