first attempt

Postby Craig. » Sun Oct 10, 2004 7:20 am

Decided to try something new out, a panoramic shot. Sadly the scenery isn't exactly the grand canyon or the Rockies, but maybe one day:) i am hoping to get some nighttime skyline shots of birmingham soon just need to find a place where it would be possible to use this technique. This was only two images joined into one, the stitch point is a little noticable but ah well

Great job, Craig.  If that's your first attempt, I can't wait to see more!  I had to search for the stitch, but even then I could only barely see it.  Panoramas are fun...wait til you're doing 360s.  lol  Awesome shot though!
Great edit, Bob.

thank you hype. I did try a third photo in there but i stupidly put the autofocus on the bush along the fence so it focused on that instead of the buildings in the back, and it just didnt go together well. Does anyone have any advice how to get rid of the stitch mark? day shots its not a huge notice. well it is but not as bad as night will be me thinks

There's a "stitch point" in there? Woah... At first I thought it was a single shot... Anyways, great panoramic! You should try a 360 degree soon, can't wait for that to come out!

Very nice Craig. You can fix the stitch with any decent graphics editor & a little knowledge of how to use it. Most have all the features & tools you need.

I purchased a minipod at Yeovilton. It's a rigid one but they were selling flexible tripods like Ken's & Wendy's for

I can't even see the stitch mark.. I've been sitting here for two or three minutes like I was looking at a Where's Waldo book or something.. Good job.
