D-Day armour

Postby HawkerTempest5 » Thu Sep 23, 2004 3:52 pm

Almost every town or village you pass through in the Normandy beachhead and surrounding area of France has a museum or collection of some kind devoted to the events of 1944. Here is a small selection of armour at the Musee Du Debarqument at Arromanches, the Musee D Day Omaha in Vierville-Sur-Mer and at the Musee Aout 1944 in the town of Falaise.

Nice shots Tempest. It looks like a very interesting place. I really must pay a visit sometime.

How much do they want for the Panzer? Just the way the locals here are driving I'm looking for something a little more rugged and secure ;D
