Rock 'n Roll Sunday III

Postby Hagar » Sun Jul 25, 2004 5:37 pm

Here's a few random shots from the car show that I rather like. Seems a good enough excuse to post 'em to me. 8)

At the drive-in. This one has all the extras.  :o

The inevitable pink Cadillac. Pity I cut the pink lady that goes with it out of the shot.

Veteran Rockers. Some of Fozzer's mates no doubt. The one in front reminds me of my Dad.

Did someone say Elvis has arrived? ::)

The cute little girl hiding in front of the car isn't real. It's a doll. No, not that sort. :P ::)

I expect you're all fed up with my shots of old cars by now. I took some of a few classic British types if anyone wants to see them. Maybe not so exotic as these "Yank Tanks" but they brought back a lot of fond memories for me. ;)

PS. No offence intended. That's what we used to call 'em.

You can never get "fed up" with old car pics.
I'd love to see the rest.

Never, someone like me never gets sick of looking at old cars.  I missed a car show yesterday (because my old car broke and I couldn't take it) and it was one of the most upsetting things for me this summer.

OK. You asked for it. I don't need a lot of encouragement as you probably know only too well by now. :o ;)

This will have to wait till tomorrow as I'm just off for my beauty sleep. 8)

Doug I have to ask one thing, did you need to pull your hair into a DA to get admission? ;D

No Mark. Dress is optional as you can see but there's still a few of the old die-hards around. They take all this very seriously & have all the gear. Must cost a small fortune. It adds to the atmosphere & I love it. Pity there weren't as many rock chicks as I expected. They're usually nicer to look at. ;)

If you admit to being involved in Line-Dancing we'll have to lock you up in the broom cupboard again ;D

I've never been into that particular pastime but don't knock it. If people get enjoyment out of doing something silly without harming anyone else it's OK by me. :P ;D

PS. Although I played in a dance band for many years I never saw the sense in all that jigging around myself. ::) I enjoy listening to the music & watching others making fools of themselves. It's what makes this old world go round & a better place to live in. :D
