Fantastic series of shots Tempest old chap.![]()
I'm delighted the weather was kind to you. It's been raining like stink down here for most of the day. ::)
I know you're a Duxford regular & you must let me into your secret some time. If I thought I could get as as close to those beauties as you obviously can I might give it a try some time. It's a long way for me to travel & I never got over being turned away from the special Spitfire anniversary do some years ago - although we had advanced tickets. Not been to a public do at Duxford since.
We had a fantastic day. The flightline at Duxford is open to the public for a couple of quid and you can get up close to the display aircraft with no obstructions. I always make sure we get to Duxford really early, between 8 and 9 am. That way we always get in without any trouble and get a good spot at the front. Getting in early means I get to do all the hangers and museums and retail stands well before the flying starts but it makes for a very long day. Well worth it to see the best line up of flying Warbirds anywhere.
