One place I always intended visiting (but never got round to it) is the old Chalk Pits Museum at Amberley. Now called the Amberley Working Museum it's only a few miles from here. I know there's a few James Bond fans on this forum. Does this look familiar?

How about this?

Here's a close-up of the inscription.

I'd completely forgotten that this is the location where the mine & airship sequences in "A View to a Kill" were filmed. I remember seeing the blimp flying around here at the time. It's true what they say. You can travel hundreds of miles to see interesting things but often miss what's on your own dooorstep.

Look at that beautiful blue sky & cotton-wool clouds. Just the job. Despite the best efforts of that idiot Michael Fish & his cronies it turned out to be a smashing day. On a bank holiday Monday too.
