Interesting photos Craig. ;)

I like the sunset. Shame about the Lanc. Almost criminal I'd call it. Looks like an Anson in the background in much the same condition if not worse. >:(

thank you hagar, the Lanc in the pic there was in pretty good condition, apart form the broken windows, and a few dents it looks to be in one piece(i have a second photo from the side, will post tomorow)

OK. Thanks. From that angle it looks like the tail is raised off the ground & the nose is resting on the barbed wire. :o

I would be interested to know when & where these shots were taken. Also what happened to the aircraft since. The Lanc is possibly the one restored by the Canadian Warplane Heritage. http://www.spitcrazy.com/mynarski_memorial_lancaster.htm
This is one of only 2 airworthy examples in the world.

Doug, from the other pics i have all being taken in Canada its a very good chance that it is the one in the link you posted. if it is then it was taken sometime between 85 and 89 i will ask my dad to confirm it

OK. Thanks Craig. It's possibly the same aircraft. I shall have to check into its history. I wouldn't think there were too many Lancs around even in 1987.

Nice pics.
Yeah it is a shame to see such a worthy plane looking neglected. If its restored though then thats great.
