Sunsets....Other side of the world....

Postby Rifleman » Mon Apr 19, 2004 9:26 am

As the sun sets behind the mountains here on Vancouver Island, and drops into the Pacific Ocean, we get to see this kind of sky in June, July, and August quite frequently.........

.........I hope you enjoy this look at my side of the world, just off the west coast of North America.......... 8)

beautiful shots. sadly the position of my house in relation to the sunset and city of bristol doesnt allow such shots without a long trip into the countryside.
Keep em coming

It was a nice evening here with lots of puffy cotton wool clouds. Aha sez I......! :D Just the job. I'll take a toddle up to the Iron Age hill fort just north of my home to take lots of photos of a beautiful sunset. I can get some idea of what it looked like for my ancestors. By the time the sun went down all the clouds had disappeared. :o

I did take some photos while I was up there but not of a spectacular sunset. I haven't checked them out yet. Never mind. I shall wait my chance & try again. ;)

lol getting onto my roof is extremely difficult, we dont own a ladder long enough to reach even the bottom. once up there its still no good, i live on a rather steep hill that runs west(highest) east(lowest) lowest point is roughly 50 feet above sea level, where i am is 570 and highest is about 700 feet all in less than a 1/4 mile stretch. LOL enough excuses i will see what i can do tomorow, never hurts to at least try

I live in Washington State not far from the US/Canada border and I saw that same sunset very good and I took some pics off the beach. Very nice!
