REX Essential

Postby mfaulisi » Wed May 30, 2012 11:21 pm

Well instead of waiting for the REX 2 + OD update, I uninstalled it and installed REX Essentials from scratch.

Looks interesting. From what i can see, seems more natural than 'normal' REX.  It blends a whole lot better with the horizon. Very nice  :)

Thanks guys...it is definitely more natural.  I haven't had a chance to really get into it, but it also injects the weather much cleaner and faster than before, loads new themes faster, and has the wx engine built into the Rex core software.  That had me stumped for a bit because it wouldn't start without Rex being open and I couldn't find the wx engine .exe to manually add on startup of fsx.

Does this replace REX2 which I just got several weeks ago?

Yes...if you have Rex 2 without OD installed there is an upgrade.  If you have REX + OD you have to uninstall and install REXe from scratch or wait until they issue the upgrade file for REX+OD.

Regardless if youre a Rex customer you get it for free  :) check their site out for all the details.

Hi Mike... :)

That is all I have also.

I purchased my REX2 from the Flight Sim Pilot Shop in Florida with several aircraft addons.

I logged onto their site and do not see anything about an update to REX2.

How will the REX site know we have purchased this product?
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
