Hi,

I am using irvan view to compress the shots. To get a good quality I try to stay at a picture quality of around 90%. I found the following can significantly affect the file size and amount of compression required:
- cropping the original shot can significantly reduce the file size, even if the re-sized image in the end has the same size/format (and even more so if you crop the top/bottom and reduce the number of pixels of your final picture)
- the more different colours and "structures" you have in the picture, the large it will be. For example a shot looking down on a city will have a much larger file size than a shot taken upwards against the sky.

is there a program that I should be using like "screen capture"?

FSX has it's own multiple screen capture feature. Press the V key to take the shots & automatically save them in BMP format. The location they're saved to will depend on your OS.

WinXP C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\My Documents\My Pictures\Flight Simulator X Files

Vista/Win7 C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Pictures\Flight Simulator X Files

I've noticed that the shots you've posted look a little jaggy. You might need to tweak your display settings.
