Came out to look exactly was advertised... with amazing quality!

Dave, have you been able to tell any difference in the performance in areas with many trees? GEX Europe is supposed to have a partial fix for that issue. Please let us know.

Wow,Nick! That scenery doesnt look like an autogen. Very good work! What countries does it cover? I'm so tired of searching sceneries that cover Eastern Europe,Baltic States and Scandinavia :'(

Interesting!
While I admit it looks a lot better than default, I must say it doesn't look as good as FTX Australia.
I think I'll stay down under for now...

Sorry Nick, but I live in Europe, and it doesn't look like what I see in the pics at all....
I've been in Australia a lot too, and that does look like FTX,
hence my reservations...

If you do not really own the product you do not know what it "looks like"

Coming into threads like this and making compares of products that do 2 different things with scenery when you have stated you do not own one of the products and will "pass" on it.. even with a 30day "no questions asked" money back guarantee, is similar to fanboy thread crapping

hence. my statement

Ah Nick, no matter how good something is, there's always someone with negative comments, "just for the sake of" and not necessarily "positive feedback" but just to be critical.  Your "stuff" is great and your reputation is beyond reproach.....
Great stuff

oh boy, I am doing something else.
There are three forums I regularly place contributions, and this is one of them, and indeed, you found one of the others. Over and over indeed...
On both, I see announcements for the product, and I give my opinion on the product, same as everybody else. Mine is different though...
I am a geologist, and make part of my money by looking at the countryside. Within FS, I thus like my scenery to be as real as possible. In this, I may be a bit more critical than others, but that's the way it is. I'd love the whole world in hi-res photoreal, but that just can't be done. Enter GEX and similar products.

In both threads, lots of people tell how good it looks, and even I say it looks better than default.
It just doesn't look convincing to me, too much like a computer simulation. For instance, there are too many fir trees, in general, the houses seem to big and too randomly placed, I do not like the colours, the textures in the screenshots are too grainy, and there are a few more things like that, in short, I am not convinced.
I know there is a 30day money back guarantee, but I still have not seen a convincing screenshot, so I see no need (yet) to try the 30 days. I'll keep following it though.

"fanboy thread crapping" seems a bit harsh for an honest opinion. I have had quite a bit of criticism on some of my paintwork, some nonsensical, some justified. The last has helped me to improve, the first has always been ignored. But you always wonder WHY they don't like it, and that leads to improvement too. Maybe I should have told more about what it is exactly that I don't like, sorry, I didn't.

But no worries Nick, I'll stay out of your hair, and wish you every bit of (well deserved) succes with it.
Should you want a more detailed version of my criticism, please send me a pm, OK?

In each statement you compare GEX Europe to FTX, a product that alters the sim with photscenery based cities, landclass, models, custom autogen descriptions, alters core FSX files, costs 3 times (or more) as much as GEX for the same sq-mi coverage area and does things GEX does not do because GEX is simply a "Full Coverage" texture/autogen replacement package

What I dont appreciate is that compare.. and yes at the other forum there are FTX people hidden behind false usernames "Hotdog" playing games too. (they were verified behind the scenes but I wont say who that is) they must be worried about something if they think they have to go to those childish extremes.

I can appreciate and understand direct comments and critiques of what is seen, both in screenshots that users may not take good ones, or, people who use the product..

Nick, I paint aircraft, I know nothing about making ground textures. I do buy ground scenery now and then, for my enjoyment, to enhance the reality of the sim. I know GEX is not photoreal, so I don't compare it to say FranceVFR, or mazzokan's stuff. FTX is, to me anyway, a replacement of the default ground textures with their own, and I thought GEX was too, so I compared those two. Was that so wrong?

So you can't accuse me of hiding behind different names or playing games, I resent that accusation.

I did not accuse YOU of anything..
