After a long search....

....finally found the A-10 I was looking for....and stationed with at England AFB (now Alexandria Int'l) Louisiana.  I delivered munitions to this plane on more than a few dozen occasions.

Tail# 80-209 was delivered when we converted form A-7s and was assigned to the 75th TFS.  The wing at England was the 23rd TFW which was a direct 'descendant' of the 23rd AVG!  Hence the continuation of the "Flying Tigers" paint theme.
It is soooooooooo cool to have a flightsim craft that I have some history with! 8-)

And they wanted to retire it.....Foolish people. No other plane can do what it can and oh so well at doing it  8-)

I saw that on "The world's deadliest aircraft" television show.
Totally wicked and packs a heck of a punch.
The mind is like a parachute...it only works when it's open.
