Heathrow-Oulu

Hey guys,

I've never heard of the Finland FSX scenery before (fsnordic.net), but I was excited to find more short flights for my new Project Opensky CRJ 705 so I did a 3 hour ride from England to Finland (with their freeware Oulu airport and land terrain). So the only payware here is REX, but I was greeted with some nice sunset weather on arrival...

1. Take off from Heathrow...

2. Around FL250 on the way down...

3. Around 9,000ft watching the T-storms....

4. Swinging around "Hailuoto Island"...

5. "100... 50... 20... "

Sadly, after taxiing, my FSX crashed, so I didn't get to unload my passengers

Wow #3 is awesome! great colors, and plenty of things to look at! All the shots are great, but 3 does it for me!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Barbr, your shots are always a pleasure to look at. Great colors and great clouds! [smiley=clapping.gif]

(Also, I love how you only fly/most of the time fly jets :D)

I just wish I had the same patience as you.. my BMI A330 flight EGCC - TAPA has 7 hours remaining and I'm doing like 20 minutes a day.. But I love flying jets. During cruise I do other things, like eat, watch TV and enjoy my day. 8-)

That third one is a killer, just perfect. Very nice bunch though... :)

I can't imagine flying for more than an hour straight though. Maybe 3 or 4 over a couple of nights but no more. The proverbial paint drying does sound more interesting to me than pretending to do a long haul... recreating the boredom and discomfort of long distance air travel in the comfort of one's own home :D

Thanks for the kind posts.

Yeah, I definitely put on the autopilot and more often than not, also time compression. And I am lucky to always have tons to read, have another laptop nearby, sometimes I just go out for a run, etc.  There's something about just sitting back at FL300 and enjoying the scenery... for that matter, I can't imagine sitting in front of the screen having to concentrate and hold the stick to make sure it doesn't crash for a full hour... that would just give me too much stress  :)

Wow, this CRJ is really fun! I'm zipping around doing little 800mi routes around the Oslo, Helsinki, etc.  Sorry about the quality on the first one, I had to turn the image quality down.
