Wallsair Wilga

Postby krigl » Wed May 13, 2009 4:15 pm

Wallsair (Wallsend in 'FSDiscover!') is a great little OzX airstrip in Newcastle Australia by hcornea. I can't remember if it's south Queensland or north NSW but anyway...

I found some great rainy weather in the area, very rare in Aus. I experimented with some planes to fly out of there to have a rest from the Twinkie for a bit - Ortis's Jabiru(from OzX) was a bit basic and not to my taste aesthetically, Conrad's Bronco wouldn't get off the ground in time for us to survive take-off; strange for a jungle warfare plane, but it's not very STOL though plenty fast... in the end I went for the updated Wilga found here on SimV. What a machine! I love the Wilga, wicked indeed...

Great shots. Another place for me to check out. I also have this little airplane in my hanger. Have you tried out the CD player in the VC yet? It works just great. You can listen to your music to keep you company while flying across those long barren stretches in the land down under.
