Delivery for Barbr

Postby TRflyman01 » Tue May 12, 2009 8:18 am

I heard Barbr was up at Mt. Beauty and needed an quick delivery by FEDEX so I hopped in my trusty DC10 and was off.

Leaving Melbourne

Cloudy day, not good for mountain flying

Proud of my piloting!! Left Melbourne, used YMAY VOR for direction, and came over the mountain right on top of my destination. Thats the runway right off of the nose.

Heading in. Gotta admit this landing has the nerves on edge...

Had to take out the fence and reverse thrust just before touchdown.

Man I hope this thing stops!!!

I think tearing down the fence made the dog mad. Gonna have to keep the sheep in.

Took a left turn at the end to avoid going into the lake but it would have stopped in time. Uh OH, no pushback at this airstrip. Better harness up the sheep. ;) Another FEDEX delivery on time. ;D

Closest I had to the MD11 Barbr and I have to be honest. The first attempt I got a little wet. ;) That's when I decided to take the fence out. Was a lot of fun, thanks for the idea! :)
