Escort?

While preparing for a test flight ( I wanted to see what my 'new' weathering on the wings looked like), I noticed a DC3 taxiing away, so I thought 'Let's give it an escort'

Where is that DC3? Ah, there it is!


Closing in, boy, that crate is slow


Even with full flaps, I found it impossible to stay next to it, I kept stalling


So it was back home for me...

And, what do you think of the weathering on the wings?

very nice but i think part of it are over done

but thats just IMHO

also needs more on the wingtips

I forgot to mention that this was a request from New Zealand.
This aircraft (the only P-47 ever in NZ I think) stood for years as a gate guard in Auckland, so it didn't look very good...
and it is still Work in Progress..
