bufferpools
poolsize

if its got 768MB of memory try 70000000 less try 35000000

see it if smooths out over trees and you DO need to check no matter what you do with LOCKED 30 and UNLIMITED to see which one is smoother

If its still choppy or worse remove bufferpools and drop the AG slider a notch in those areas

so you want the bufferpools in there no matter what? or do you want me to leave it out and add it when everything else is good? it's got 896mb of memory on the gpu.. I just tried 80000000 with TBM 80 and it made no difference whatsoever. very dense vs extremely dense didn't change anything either. I'm restarting the system now to try with TBM 80 and no bufferpools

by the way, if it helps any... my frames are always locked at 24

that's the smoothest I've found in this system... unlimited stutters and anything above 24 the frames go up and down a little which causes stuttering as well

UPDATE:

just tried TBM 70, no bufferpools, autogen both 3/4 and 4/4... no change. I think 80 is a bit better actually, but it's still not there..

I'm thinking it's the HDD that the OS is on... it's pretty old. I believe this is it:

it's pretty loud nowadays

I cant see the OS drive being a problem when FSX is installed elsewhere

Strange than nothing changes the issue especially dropping AG a notch. I assume this is any large forest and not some scenery download

Nick,

I don't think we're talking about the same thing here... what you asked me is about the forests and the fact that the amount of trees in certain areas affect not only the frames, but the smoothness... correct? if so, yes. that is true.

however, what I'm trying to figure out right now is the speed and clarity at which ground textures load. for example: in this shot, you have your textures already fully loaded and as clear as they can get all around the airplane, including ahead of it:
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/2 ... 42-250.jpg

but in my sim, the textures are nowhere near as clear as that (I'm running GEXn USA/CAN) I know it's not the same as GEXn Europe, but the textures should still be able to load clearer much faster and at a farther distance from the airplane, correct?

I thought you were talking about stutters over trees

With the image you posted you are looking at a next generation payware product in production

yours will look like that in Europe once we release GEX EU

GEX EU is an entire new approach to textures and autogen layout. In GEX EU you can look out your window on approach @ 5-800ft and see fields of crops and dirt details, or see the sidewalk on the streets

I need to see images of this problem, exact images of your blur complaint

mine looks just like these in real time

;D

Thanks Nick  :)

I guess I'm good with the texture loading

thanks for the in depth help yet again Nick. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it
