Crater Lake, Oregon

Crater Lake, Oregon:

Always wondered what this looked like in FS.  I also never knew it was so high above sea level.  This screenie is taken at 8,500 ft. MSL.  Poor Bonanza starts running out of juice that high.  There's just a couple shoreline goofs in there, overall it's very beautiful.

One of the many things I like about the Flight Sims, is the ability to "fly" to various places in the World and the learn the Geography, Geology, and History of the area beneath me.

After spotting the "Crater Lake" subject above, I immediately looked up Wikipedia to reveal the details of "Crater Lake"....>>>>

With my 10+ years of regular Sim Flights around California, I have learned much about the place that I otherwise would not have known, with the added help of internet searches at the same time... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]..!

The above screen shot was remarkably accurate compared to the actual photographs of the area!

Uncle Bill's School Lessons!...;)... ;D...!
