Somehow the darkness makes the water stand out more than it does in daytime.

BTW: the PH-SPH is a Grob 115 ;) ::)

Yeah ... Dave Garwood released a rather decent one in 2007.  ;)

FSWC is configurable during flight.. apparently Dave liked what he saw but he could easily have turned the water pure black with a mirror pool reflection on it too... adjusted the moon light specular and glow to what ever size/intensity he wanted

Exactly Nick! I really like how you can adjust the night reflection of the water. It makes flying around... lets say the bush, truly a fun experience! I can set the night reflection to now show me where the water and coastlines are therefore making my VFR night flying more enjoyable! I can now "see" the water against the darkened landscape!
