F-15E Strike Eagle..

Postby Ben R » Tue Apr 01, 2008 12:00 pm

Ive been looking around for a good F-15E Strike Eagle, both freeware and payware, and none have amazed me, except the IRIS Simulations Strike Eagle. It flies like a beauty! And the details are simply amazing!

However, theres a lack of detail in the 2D cockpit, but the VC is awesome! Didn't get no shots of the VC for now though.

See now, shots like these make it all worth it for me.  I recognize the AI in the background of that first picture from one of our packages.  That brings a huge smile to my face to know that other simmers out there are enjoying the fruits of our labor.  To me, sharing something you've created for this simulator with others is what this hobby is all about.

Ben R, you should try the Seymour Johnson scenery that is available, goes great with the AI.  Love that aircraft btw.

I recognize the AI in the background ... from one of our packages.

Wait till you see what I did with your Elmendorf package ::)
BTW Mike, any chance of adding the USCG as an addon to your PAED package?

Thanks :)

I love MIAW packages. Very nicely done :)

Where can I find this scenery?

Thank you,

Ben :)

Ben R, here's the scenery for SJ AFB.

Seymour  Johnson AFB

@ Harold, we have a fixed wing CG package in the works but it's a ways off yet.  We do have an update coming out for Elmendorf, new scenery, new AI and flightplans and a couple other upgrades.  It should be out in a month or so.

Last time it took you three :P ;D ;)

But I'll be waiting as with the first release. Could you already PM me some shots? I'm particularly interested in the scenery as there is NO scenery available for PAED. The initial MAIW PAED release was a good little update (love the arrestor cables!!) but still PAED doesn't look like PAED. Apart from the aircraft it looks like it is deserted. It is such a contrast with my PANC scenery which is loaded with all kinds of goodies.

I'll PM you some shots of my mix 'n match ...

That's a NICE plane!  I want one.  I have the F-14 A&B.  It has issues w/Acceleration and there's supposed to be a new version soon.  I'll bet the sound is killer!  They really do a great job with engine sounds.

Isn't the F-15 the highest thrust:weight ratio still for a fighter jet?

Id guess it is, but i bet the trusty old English Electric Lightning could give it a run for its money ;D

Ive read about these F-15's landing with bits of wings missing and all sorts, fantastic aircraft.

I'm not doing the upgrade, John Stintrom is, the same person who made the scenery for Seymour Johnson AFB.  So you'll have to bug him for some previews. :D
