First from Full Terrain X

Postby krigl » Wed Mar 05, 2008 8:26 pm

After a very arduous and challenging evening I managed to pay for, download, install and run FTX Australia Blue region.

Here are the first screenies... not great - I was just flailing around ;D

In motion it looks absolutely AMAZING. It's indescribable. Even the most boring regions look like REAL PLACES!!

A stunning product.

I've been waiting for this for about 18 months.... and it's really worth it. An area bigger than western Europe, amazinly detailed textures... for less than 20  euros. Beautiful Australia....

Cheers

The amount of realism and color in the ground textures are amazing. I lvoe how the photo real doesn't become blurry when up close. ;)

That's just sick... crop-furrows, normal-looking houses... heck, even the trees look good!   8-)
Another nudge towards getting FSX...  ;D

Looks fantastic! I will most likely get it, one one condition, is an airport ICAO 'YTYA' included?

Very nice realistic looking scenery Roger. You can almost see the crops growing in that last one.  ;)

Oh wow! That looks really good Roger? I guess it is only for FSX right?
Is that 'standard' autogen directly below the Cessna in the first?

The only 'drawback' are the default roads that run across the photoreal textures (like in shot #1); I prefer absolute photoreal scenery like Alaska Cinematic. It somehow removes the default roads ...

Nonetheless this is going to be high on my priority list when I run FSX!
