Pardon the Intrusion I

Well looky what we have here.  She's a beauty.  Another winner from the boys at AlphaSim.  The A-6E Intruder.

Flies really nice.  Roll rate seems a bit slow but maybe that's how the real thing was.  Acceleration and deceleration seem spot on.  There is also an expansion pack available seperately that includes more liveries and loadout options.

Awesome shots in this one, really like the VC.

As far as the role rate, my understanding from the documentaries I've watched and things I've read indicate the roll rate is somewhat "slow". After, the plane wasn't designed for dogfighting. Strictly a strike aircraft. I can't imagine how unsettling it must have been for the Intruders first pilots in Vietnam knowing they had no defense weapons onboard. Gives me chills.

Great shots in both sets, I really like the  first two. That plane has a lot of character.... 8-)

Layne you really shouldn't make a comment like that when you post shots that are not even coming close to Mike's shots ...

Very cool bird Mike. I'm not a very big military flyer but I like that Intruder you've got there ;)
Just a tip ... don't cut of parts of a plane when a. not needed or b. not intentional ...

Oh trust me, I don't like cutting off parts if I don't have to.  Sometimes it's an "artistic attemp" thing, other times, it's that darn 100k limit. ::)

Yeah ... don't you just hate that? I believe this is the best place to be for sharing our common passion but the 800 wide/100kb limit is kind of out dated.
Most of the western world in on broadband and have 19" screens nowadays.

However ... I'm not complaining ;)
