Them Russians like it big, LOUD, and as user-unfriendly as possible, gotta love 'em. ;D

Nice plane you have there.

Very nice.... I noticed that too, took forever to get off the ground. The Russians have designed loads of cool stuff, but that whale seems to me to be a bit of a turkey.

Just one thing though.... the Soviet Union broke up a while ago  ;) Or is it a retro job?? Mind you, not that much has changed there since the 80s as far as I know, more crime and tons of new rich but otherwise... :'(

Oh man, when that Il-96 took off over my house, *dust falls from ceiling* it was LOUD. Nice Il-86 you got there, and lovely set of shots too. :)

Thanks for the comments guys...If you set the trim and add enough flaps, it should rotate just at the end of the runway at around 160KIAS...Worked for me so I'm not complaining...I've only ever been on the Il-96...Never been on the 86...Hope one day to fly on one if they're still around ;D

Chomps up almost the entire Runway!

I thought that I missed something ... changing the load-out or so; which I never do. Even at Anchorage it took over 10K feet to take off at an 11K runway ::)

I really like these shots Ash! Although the first two look pretty similar ... and no tail shot :o
