Ballooning

Postby Harold » Tue Oct 09, 2007 6:13 pm

- an in between series of my Pacific Coast Tour -

scenery in these screenshots are courtesy of Georender Alaska Cinematic Volume 1.
Anchorage International Airport scenery is made by William Morgan. You can get it here.

After screenshooting all kinds of aircraft in the last coupe of days I found that it was time to relax a little. So I drove over to Lake Hood
where a friend I made while at Anchorage, had prepared his hot air balloon to take me over Anchorage and its surrounding area.

Here we are ready to lift off ... just getting the temperature up

Nice screen shots again, especially the angle and lighting of your last shot.
However, I hate to be really picky, but I personally do not like how the aircraft lights look in number two, looks a tad artificial to me.
Don't let that get you down though, they are very good shots, despite the iffy lights!
Cheers,

Thanks for the comments guys! I appreciate you're taking the time although I haven't commented on anyone's shots lately :-[

HAHA now that's something diffrent. Great as usual. ;)

Thanks Alex ... I'm always thinking of how to come up with something else. This time I think I've really given you 'something else' :D

Really kicking it up a notch, ehh Harold!

As a matter of fact I was actually trying to slow things down ;)

That might be because they are from an Artificial Intelligence aircraft ;D

Get the other landing light splash effect...It makes the beam aim forward rather than spread out towards the sides... ;)

Is it me, or is this a coincidence?

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is going on right now, that is very interesting...

Now, if only I could get my sorry behind out there, I could catch one of THE greatest airshows ever fathomed. 600 to 800 balloons, now THAT is something. ;)

(I would attepmt to do something like that in FS, but my computer would likely meet an untimely end in the process.)
