Wet and rainy day at Heathrow

Postby born_2_fly » Sat Sep 29, 2007 1:46 pm

Like much of the rest of the UK at the moment  ;D

Our 747 being loaded up with Cargo and most importantly fuel food  ;)

Making our way up too the office.

Company 777 parked up next to us with an AC 767 starting its takeoff roll on 27R  8-)

With preflights complete, cabin secure, fuel, cargo, bags, passengers and paperwork onboard, we make our way to the runway.

Rotate  8-) (EDIT  :))

Thanks to a final push from Mark I decided I should maybe start posting some shots again, seeing as I have been enjoying so many of the fine shots here without giving anything back!  ;D

Addons used:
PMDG 747-400 (Ben Hewitt BA paint)
Aerosoft's Fantastic Heathrow
Flight Environment
Aerosoft's AES (Must have  ;))

All the best,
Alex  :)

One of those is clearly edited...The RR symbols in the last shot are mirrored...but apart from that...Very beautiful shots ;) ;)

Thanks Ash, and yeah I threw that edited one in there as I didn't want to start a whole new thread for one shot in the Edited forum  8-)

Mods, I'll move it if you like  :)

And yeah those damned RR symbols! I knew someone would point that out!  ;D

Thanks CharlottesDad  :)

Heathrow is one of the closes major airports to me too, so I'm pretty chuffed that someone finally did a good rendition of it  :D

I really like what you did with shot #5. Great capture with the engines and the shadow.

Very good shots!

Excellent shots mate, really enjoyed looking at these.
Your creativity in the wing/engine shots paid off, bloody good!

Wow thanks guys  :D

Ha ha everytime I return to this thread I keep realizing how much those damned backwards RR decals are annoying me!  ;D

Ashar,

I don't seem to see the Aerosoft AES "wet runways" effect in there on those shots.  Is that missing from Heathrow?

best,

I believe the rain has to be set to >Moderate, and I think I only had it set to light on this occasion  8-)
