This summer, I won a free ticket to the Netherlands Antilles (Yeah right...I wish)...So I decided to make the most of it and headed out...Once I got there...I saw a sign saying they had cars for rent...Having some extra cash in my pocket, I decided to ask what car they had...They had a sweet Nissan... 8-)
I quickly said yes and hopped in after all the paperwork was done...I drove around the terminal and towards the famous Maho Beach...I passed by this sign near Maho Hotel...
My fingers started to tremble...This was the place I had seen in so many pictures at airliners.net...I was actually there (No I wasn't...) I hopped out of my car and snapped a quick pic with the famous board that is almost always ignored...
Then I decided to move along...And came upon this place...It looked interesting...So I went inside and parked my car...
Soon, I was headed back out towards Maho Hotel...After having a nice seafood lunch...I decided to pop back over to Maho Beach...To my surprise, I saw an ATR taxi-ing for take-off...I floored the gas and came to a stop near the oh-so-famous fence and hastened my way out...In the mean time, the ATR had lined it self up...Here's the shot I managed to get...
Nothing exciting happened after that...I checked the local bar for any arrivals but there was nothing fun scheduled...The next day, I decided I got bored and used my re-deemable ticket to get back to Europe...My carrier that day would be Air France...and to my utter dissappointment, they had sent a Boeing 747 instead of the regular A340...Oh well...Such is life!
