Playing Havoc

Postby Lazerbeak » Sun Aug 26, 2007 2:33 am

I recently got my hands on Alphasim's stunning new Mi-28 'Havoc'. I'm delighted to see the "Russian Apache" finally making its arrival into the FS world, and even more delighted to see that it's been done in a high-quality package such as this one.

To celebrate its long-overdue entry into my collection of Russian helos, I decided to play a little "Havoc" on Novosibirsk. ;)

With a tank full of fuel and a belly full of vodka, I waved goodbye to the crowd of airliners as I began my mischief.
Image

I thought I'd give the residents of Novosibirsk a little scare. An attack helo speeding towards you would make you jump, no?
Image

The VC on this birdie is extremely well done, though sadly the gunner's position is absent.
Image

During my jaunt, I came near the vicinity of Severny Airport, and decided to give the local pilots an impromptu airshow.
Image

After I'd finished making sure nobody's pants were dry, I turned and headed back to base.
Image

And now to find a way to explain my actions to a very upset base commander... :P
Image

In all, I have to say that the chaps at Alphasim have done a cracking job with this one. It's fast, manoeuvrable, sexy, and easily one of the most fun choppers I've ever flown. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in helicopters, Russian aircraft, or just looking for a fun craft to throw around.

Holy....*heart attack* *defibrillator*

OK, thats better. I had no idea this was in the works, and if it wasn't for these extraordinary shots, I would never have found this beautiful eggbeater. Time to crack out the credit card, and go for some Nap of the Earth.

Stunning shots Lazer, the colour is spectacular.... and even though russian aircraft aren't my cup of tea, I have to admit that model looks superb!!

Sweet shots Lazer. Although I like your yellowish signature coloring you might want to try something else ... looks good tho ;)

Indeed, I was thinking the same. The main reason my shots always have that yellowish tinge is that I normally fly only in this time of day, but I am planning to change things up a bit in some upcoming screens. ;)

Well, for my (admittedly limited) military AI, I use the UNNT Traffic Pack. Airlines and GA are a mixture of the flightplans by RATS and whatever I've been able to collect/put together, combined with a few of my own repaints for any missing/hard to find aircraft.
